Here the Canadian singer-songwriter eloquently blurs the line between folk and spiritual jazz, distilling their energies into a potent, goose bump-inducing work. Beverly's voice takes the spot light on almost every track; it is at the same time dramatic and soothing, often registering in the high vocal range. The all-star backing band, consisting of mostly Canadian jazz players Dough Bush, Don Thompson, Terry Clark, Lenny Breau, Jeremy Steig and Doug Riley, play off Glenn-Copeland's vocals masterfully.
