Ready the disco lights and get those dancing shoes on 'cause Cut Copy is back! Ever since their 2001 debut Bright Like Neon Love, the Australian quintet has never had a problem making people move and shake it. Now on their fourth proper full length album entitled Free Your Mind, the band is armed even more uber-catchy, electro-pop anthems aimed squarely on the floor - possibly even more so than any of their previous effort. Right from the get-go on "Free Your Mind," they take cues from classic house with the four-four stomp, a bubbling bassline, and epic pianos on "Free Your Mind." Add to that the signature sing-songy vocals and you got sureshot groove material for the masses. The formula continues on "We Are Explorers" plus some epic chords, while "Let Me Show You Love" slows it down on the balearic baggy acid tip. Nothing to skip from beginning to end with other highlights including the jackin' rave-infected "Footsteps," "Memory Capsule," "Meet Me In The House Of Love," and the super chilled "Walking In The Sky" for the come down. Pressed up on dayglo vinyl (one pink, one yellow) with free download. Recommended.
